No. 7653 (otherwise known as, "The New Central Bank Act"), as amended by R.A" No.ll2ll, the legal tender limit for coins is set, as follows. This Circular shall take eftect after fifteen ('15) days following its publication in the OfficialCazette or in a newspaper of generalcirculation, and supersedes BSP Circular No.537. Series of 2006.
