DECLARING WEDNESDAY, 11 AUGUST 2021, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SAMAR

WHEREAS , on 11 August 2021, Wednesday, the Province of Samar will mark the commemoration of its declaration as a province independent of Leyte and Cebu; and

WHEREAS , it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Samar be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA , Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE , do hereby declare Wednesday, 11 August 2021, a special (non-working) day in the Province of Samar.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF , I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
