[ PROCLAMATION NO. 39, July 19, 1962 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, JULY 23, 1962, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND LIPA CITY.

WHEREAS, Apolinario Mabini, one of our greatest patriots, was born in Tanauan, Batangas, on July 23, 1864; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas desire to be given ample opportunity to celebrate the birthday of the “Sublime Paralytic”;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in-me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, July 23, 1962, as a special public holiday in the province of Batangas and Lipa City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed,

Done in the City of Manila, this 19th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two.
