MTRCB ADMINISTRATIVE FINES FOR VIOLATIONS

1. Violation: Illegal Insertions/Tampering

Penalties: For the producer, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P250,000.00, cancellation/suspension of permits for a period not exceeding one year. For the theater/network owner, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P250,000.00 and/or closure of the theater for not more than one year.

2. Violation: Unapproved/Disapproved Still Photos, Billboards, Photo Frames, Posters and Lay-Outs.

Penalties: For the producer, a fine of not less than P5,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00, confiscation of the unapproved still photos, billboards, posters and cancellation/suspension of permit not exceeding two months. For the theater owner, closure of theater for a period not exceeding two months and/or fine of not less than P5,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00.

3. Violation: No permit for Exhibition

Penalties: For the producer, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P250,000.00 and confiscation of the prints. For the theater owner/network owner, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P250,000.00 and/or closure of the theater for a period not exceeding ninety days.

4. Violation: Use of Expired Permit

Penalties: For the theater/network owner and the producer, a fine of not less than P3,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00 and/or, for the producer, a suspension of the permit for not more than one month; for the theater owner, a closure of the theater for not more than one month and/or a fine of not more than one month and/or a fine of not less than P3,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00.

5. Violation: Tampered or Altered Permit

Penalties: For the producer, a fine of not less than P15,000.00 but not exceeding P100,000.00 and/or cancellation/suspension of permit for not more than five months. For the theater owner, a fine of not less than P15,000.00 but not exceeding but not exceeding P100,000.00 and/or the closure of the theater for not more than five months.

6. Violation: Non-Posting of the Exhibition Permit

Penalties: For the theater owner, a fine of not less than P3,000.00 but not exceeding P20,000.00 and/or the closure of the theater for not more than one month.

7. Violation: Non-Printing of Classification Ratings in Newspaper Advertising Materials

Penalties: For the producer, a fine of not less than P3,000.00 but not exceeding P10,000.00.

8. Violation: Admission of Minors to "R" Rated Films and "PG" Films Without Adult Companions

Penalties: For the theater owner, a fine of not less than P15,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00 and/or the closure of the theater for not more than five months.

9. Violation: Unapproved Trailer/Video Trailer (No Permit for Exhibition)

Penalties: For the producer, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P100,000.00 and the confiscation of the trailer. For the theater/network owner, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P100,000.00 and/or the closure of the theater/network for not more than six months.

10. Violation: Unauthorized Change of Title

Penalties: For the producer, a fine of not less than P5,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00 and/or the cancellation/suspension of permit for not more than two months. For the theater/network owner, a fine of not less than P5,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00 and/or the closure of the theater or network for not more than two months.

11. Violation: No Standee

Penalties: For the theater owner, a fine of not less than P3,000.00 but not exceeding P20,000.00 and/or the closure of theater for not more than one month.

12. Violation: Non-Registration of Theaters, Producers, Exporters, Importers, Distributors, TV Stations, Laboratory Studios

Penalties: A fine of not less than P15,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00 for the violators.

13. Violation: Refusal to Admit Duly Deputized MTRCB Representatives

Penalties: For the theater owner, a fine of not less than P15,000.00 but not exceeding P50,000.00 and/or the closure of the theater for not more than five months.

14. Violation: Exportation of Film Without Permit

Penalties: For the exporter, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P100,000.00.

15. Violation: Importation of Film Without Permit

Penalties: For the importer, a fine of not less than P20,000.00 but not exceeding P100,000.00
