APPROVING THE GUIDE TO SECTORAL STUDIES IN THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN (CLUP) PREPARATION

WHEREAS, the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) is mandated to promulgate zoning and other land use control standards and guidelines, which shall govern land use plans and zoning ordinances of local governments, pursuant to Section 5 (a) of Executive Order No. 648;

WHEREAS, the Board updated the current Guidelines on the Formulation and Revision of Comprehensive Land Use Plans (CLUPs) as part of its continuing efforts to respond to national policy issuances and feedback from local government units and other stakeholders;

WHEREAS, the Guide to Sectoral Studies in the CLUP Preparation integrated the sectoral guidelines, namely: Volume I: Demography, Volume II; Social Sector, Volume III: Economic Sector and Volume IV: Infrastructure Sector;

WHEREAS, said guidebook form part of the five CLUP Guidebooks, namely: (1) A Guide to CLUP Preparation; (2) Guide to Sectoral Studies in the CLUP Preparation; (3) CLUP GIS Guidebook=A Guide to Comprehensive Land Use Data Management, (4) Model Zoning Ordinance and (5) Planning Strategically;

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that The Guide to Sectoral Studies in the CLUP Preparation, hereto attached * (not filed), be APPROVED.
