LTO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. ACL-2009-1161, June 16, 2009

[ LTO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. ACL-2009-1161, June 16, 2009 ]

ALARM ON DRIVERS’ LICENSES DURING RENEWAL

Complaints have reached the Office of the Assistant Secretary that applications for the renewal of drivers’ licenses have been denied on the ground that the drivers’ licenses of the applicants are on alarm. Inquiry revealed that the drivers’ licenses on alarm only pertain to the same first names and surnames but are different from the one issued to the applicants whose applications were denied.

In view of this, ALL LTO Officials and Personnel concerned are hereby directed to establish the true identity of each driver’s license on alarm vis-à-vis that of the applicant’s; and, if the two (2) differ, the application for renewal should not be denied on the ground of the alarm.

For strict compliance.

Adopted: 16 June 2009

(SGD.) ARTURO C. LOMIBAO

Assistant Secretary
