PROHIBITING THE EXPORTATION OF RICE

In order to safeguard the public interest and pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby prohibit the exportation of rice or palay from the Philippines.

Done at the City of Manila, this twentieth day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-one, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the sixth.
