[ PROCLAMATION NO. 16, March 24, 1962 ]

EXTENDING THE NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP AND FUND DRIVE OF THE PHILIPPINE CANCER SOCIETY, INC., UP TO APRIL 30, 1962

WHEREAS, the period from January 15 to March 31, 1962, was set aside for the national membership and fund drive of the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the Society needs additional time to realize its quota of P200,000 to continue its activities;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the national membership and fund drive of the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., up to April 30, 1962.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila this 24th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the sixteenth.
