RULES ON RETROACTIVE PAYMENT OF PREMIUM CONTRIBUTION FOR OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS (OFWS)

Consistent with Section 7 of PhilHealth Circular No. 24, s. 2003 dated 11 July 2003 regarding the Omnibus Guidelines on Entitlement to National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) Benefits, any ACTIVE OFW member whose membership coverage expired and failed to immediately renew his/her membership prior to or at the time of expiry shall be given a grace period of one (1) month immediately following the date of expiry of his/ her membership. This means that he/she shall be allowed to settle his/her premium contribution retroactively.
