[ PHILRACOM RESOLUTION NO. 23 - 13, May 22, 2013 ]

AMENDMENT TO PR. 76.VV 3.a2

WHEREAS , under PR. 76.VV 3.a2 the penalty to a winning jockey for being overweight for 1st offense is Four Thousand Pesos (P4,000.00) and Eight Thousand Pesos (P8,000.00) for the second offense; WHEREAS , under the old rule the penalty was only Two Thousand Pesos (P2,000.00) for first offense and Four Thousand (P4,000.00) for the second offense;

WHEREAS , the penalty of Four Thousand Pesos (P4,000.00) and Eight Thousand Pesos (P8,000.00) are deemed stiff considering that it has no bearing to other horses and the jockey even won.

RESOLVED , that the penalty to a winning jockey for being overweight for the first offense be reverted to Two Thousand Pesos P2,000.00 for 1 st offense and Four Thousand (P4,000.00) for the second offense;

RESOLVED FURTHER , that PR. 76. VV.3.a.2 be amended so that the same shall read as follows:

For having more weight during the weigh-in:

1. 500 grams or less 2. 501 grams to 1 kg. 3. 1.01 kgs. to 1.50 kgs. 4. 1.51 kgs. to 2.0 kgs. 5. 2.0 kgs. and more
