TEN PERCENT (10%) INCREASE ON RO-RO CARGOES
Pursuant to PPA Board Resolution No. 1858 dated January 11, 2001 granting a 10% increase in ro-ro charges, as implemented under PPA Memorandum Circular No. 004-2001, the new ro-ro rates/charges are hereby prescribed, as follows;
I. RO-RO Self-Propelted

The rate of P16.00 for private vehicle shall be applied only if the owner/driver himself drives same into or out of the ro-ro vessel. In the event that the responsibility of driving the vehicle is turned over to the cargo handler, the rate of P45.00 for four (4) wheeler cargo/ passenger jeep shall be imposed.
II. CHARO

b. Conventional cargo (breakbulk, palletized or unitized, live animals, iron and steelproducts, etc.) loaded on trailers and towed in/out of the Ro-Ro vessels:
These cargoes shall be charged seventy-five (75%) percent of the arrastre rate for non-palletized cargo in the existing tariff for conventional cargo based on the gross weight
c. Empty Chassis/Trailers
These cargoes shall be charged fifty (50%) percent of the arrastre rate in the existing tariff for conventional cargo.
III. STO-RO

b. Conventional cargo (palletized or unitized) discharged from trailer and stowed on the wharf or vice-versa:
These cargoes shall be charged 75% of the arrastre rate for palletized cargo in the existing tariff for conventional cargo.
All PDO Managers and PMO Managers are hereby directed to implement the above new ro-ro rates and charges effective February 1, 2001.
