[ PROCLAMATION NO. 31, August 04, 1947 ]

FIXING AUGUST 16, 1947, AS THE DATE FOR THE INAUGURATION OF RIZAL CITY

By virtue of the power conferred upon me by Section 89 of Republic Act No. 183, I, Manuel Roxas, President of the Philippines, do hereby fix August 16, 1947, as the date for the inauguration of Rizal City and for the qualification of the City Mayor and the members of the Municipal Board appointed in accordance with the provisions of said section.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
