[ HLURB RESOLUTION NO. 805, S. 2007, May 16, 2007 ]

ACCREDITING THE NORTHRAIL AND SOUTHRAIL LINKAGE PROJECTS ADMINISTERED BY THE NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY AS COMPLIANCE TO SECTION 18 OF RA 7279

WHEREAS, the Northrail and Southrail Linkage Project of the government are in dire need of infrastructure and support facilities;

WHEREAS, for these resettlement's projects to be viable, the private sector participation can be tapped more particularly housing developers relative to their compliance to the social housing requirement of Section 18 of RA7279;

WHEREAS, said developer's participation can be in the provision of support/community facilities, improvement of housing units, support to livelihood and training programs, site beatification, etc.;

WHEREAS, under Section 18 (b) of RA 7279, resettlement programs of the government is considered one of the modes of compliance to the social housing requirement;

WHEREFORE, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved that a housing developers participation in the provision of infrastructure and support facilities for the Northrail and Southrail Linkage Project be accredited as compliance to Section 18 of RA 7279.

Be it resolved further that this mode of compliance may be used for main projects- anywhere in the country
