[ PROCLAMATION NO. 87, March 01, 1963 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, MARCH 2, 1963, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CABATUAN, PROVINCE OF ILOILO

WHEREAS, the seventy-second birthday of the late Tomas Confesor, one of our most outstanding resistance leaders during the last war, falls on Saturday, March 2, 1963; and

WHEREAS, the people of Cabatuan, his birthplace, should be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Saturday, March 2, 1963, as a special public holiday in the municipality of Cabatuan, province of Iloilo.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
