PUBLICATION OF THE FILM RATING IN NEWSPAPER ADS

In view of some movie layouts/ads in the newspapers that no longer carry the movie’s classification, we wish to reiterate Section 8 of Presidential Decree No. 1986 which states that:

“ the motion picture exhibitors … shall include in all their cinema advertisements announcements stating the classification … of the motion picture being exhibited or advertised.”

As such, please be informed that effective immediately, all movie layouts published in all newspapers must carry the classification of the movie. Failure to do so may result in penalties provided for in same decree.
