[ PROCLAMATION NO. 401, March 31, 1957 ]

EXCLUDING FROM THE OPERATION OF THE BAGUIO TOWNSITE RESERVATION CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND KNOWN AS THE "IGOROT CLAIMS" SITUATED IN THE CITY OF BAGUIO AND DECLARING THE SAME OPEN TO DISPOSITION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER VII OF THE PUBLIC LAND ACT

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, do hereby exclude from the operation of the Baguio Townsite reservation certain parcels of land known as the “Igorot Claims” situated in the City of Baguio and declare the same open to disposition under the provisions of Chapter VII of the Public Land Act, subject to the condition that except in favor of the Government or any of its branches, units or institutions, land acquired by virtue of this proclamation shall not be encumbered or alienated within a period of fifteen years from and after the date of issuance of patent, which “Claims” are more particularly described as follows:
