AMENDMENT TO THE VALIDITY OF DFA AUTHENTICATION CERTIFICATES
Adopted: 22 December 2014 Date Filed: 08 January 2015
In view of the varying length of validity of documents submitted for Authentication and the absence of a validity clause on Authentication Certificates currently issued by the Department, this Department Order shall harmonize the validities of Authentication Certificate and its attached/underlying document.
By this Department Order, the validity of Authentication Certificate shall be changed from that of "indefinite", as prescribed by Foreign Service Circular No. 14-02 of 07 January 2002, to that of "follow the validity of the attached/underlying document", and shall remain effective until duly superseded or amended.
The following validity clause will be printed at the bottom part of
Authentication Certificates for thus purpose:
"Validity of this Certification shall follow the validity of the attached/underlying document."
Enclosed hereto is a sample * for reference.
This Department Order shall take effect immediately.
