AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION ONE OF ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-SEVEN HUNDRED AND NINETY-NINE.

Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:

Sec. 1. Section one of Act Numbered Thirty-seven hundred and ninety-nine is amended to read as follows:

"Section 1. Upon the death of any Member of the Legislature of the Philippines during his term of office, his widow or in default thereof, his legitimate children, or his other legitimate descendants, or legitimate parents, or other legitimate ascendants dependent upon the support of the deceased Member shall be paid a compensation equivalent to the total of one yearns salary of such deceased Member, upon presentation of proof of his death." Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect as of January first, nineteen hundred and forty.
