EXEMPTION FROM REVIEW OF RELIGIOUS PROGRAMS

Effective immediately, all religious television programs are hereby exempted from MTRCB review and will be given a "General Audience" classification, subject to the payment of the appropriate fees. This policy is consistent with the freedom of religion provision which is enshrined in the Philippine Constitution.

However, the exemption from prior review carries with it the responsibility of strict observance of pertinent provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1986, its implementing rules and regulations and other applicable laws. Any violation may result in the cancellation of this exemption privilege.
