DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2005 AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LIPA

WHEREAS, Monday, September 12, 2005, thousands of Marian devotees are expected to grace the Carmelite Convent to culminate the National Pilgrimage to Lipa Carmel 2005 in commemoration of the National Eucharistic and Marian Year;

WHEREAS, the City of Lipa celebrates the consecration of every family and our nation to Our Lady, Mary Mediatrix of All Grace;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lipa be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, September 12, 2005 as special (non-working) day in the City of Lipa.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
