[ PROCLAMATION NO. 42, September 04, 1947 ]

FIXING OCTOBER 20, 1947, AS THE DATE FOR THE INAUGURATION OF ORMOC CITY

By virtue of the power conferred upon me by Section 91 of the Republic Act No. 179, I, Manuel Roxas, President of the Philippines, do hereby fix October 20, 1947, as the date for the inauguration of Ormoc City and for the qualification of the City Mayor and the members of the Municipal Board appointed in accordance with the provisions of said Act.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this 4 th day of September in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the second.
