ISSUANCE OF CLEARANCE/S FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
Effective immediately, prior to the release of the Brand New or Used completely built up (CBUs) imported motor vehicles, including motorcycles, and the issuance of the corresponding Certificate of Payment (CP) therefore, CLEARANCE from the Office of the Commissioner shall be required. In regard to the foregoing, the District/Port Collector's request for clearance in accordance with the attached format, should be supported by copies of the following documents.
For Brand New Motor Vehicles :
Import Entry
Bill of Lading
Sales Invoice
Additional Document for Used/Second Hand Motor Vehicles :
Import Authority for the Concerned Agency if applicable.
For facility, the foregoing documents may be sent by telefax through No. 527-94-53 or by courier to the Office of the Commissioner, (Attn: Mr. Vicente D. Piñon).
Importations, however, of motor vehicles by participants of the Motor Vehicle Development Program (MVDP) are not covered by this directive.
No release of imported motor vehicles shall be effected without the clearance from the Office of the Commissioner first being obtained as herein provided.
