A RULING AS TO THE TAX STATUS OF DIGITAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS PHILIPPINES, INC.

Attached herewith, for your information and guidance, is the text of the letter * dated March 12, 1996 from the Office of the President, Malacañang, Manila, to the Digital Telecommunications Philippines, Inc. containing a ruling as to the tax status of the latter, subject of the herein 1st Indorsement * dated March 27, 1996 from the Asst. Secretary, Revenue Operations Group, Department of Finance, which is self-explanatory.

All concerned shall be guided accordingly.
