INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR ALL LANDBASED WORKERS

It has been observed that insurance certificates being submitted at the Employment Contract Processing Branch (ECPB) in compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 40, s. 1991, on mandatory personal accident and life insurance coverage for all landbased workers, are limited to personal accident insurance coverage only. Please be clarified that said Circular requires submission of the remaining P25,000.00 coverage for both personal accident and life insurance. In this regard, only insurance certificates in compliance with the foregoing shall be honored by the ECPB.
