DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 29 TO FEBRUARY 3, 1962, AS ACCOUNTANCY WEEK

WHEREAS, certified public accountants, by reason of the vantage position they occupy in the field, of business, finance, and industry, have contributed immensely to the progress of the national economy; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by certified public accountants in the development of the national economy be brought to the attention of the people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from January 29 to February 3, 1962, as Accountancy Week, and designate the Philippine Institute of Accountants to take charge of its celebration.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 12th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the sixteenth.
