FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 11 OF ARTICLE V OF THE RULES AND REGULATION GOVERNING THE EXPORTATION AND IMPORTATION OF LEAF TOBACCO AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS, AS AMENDED

By virtue of the powers vested in the National Tobacco Administration and after consultation with the affected stakeholders of the tobacco industry, Section 11, Article V of the Export/Import Rules and Regulations, is hereby further amended for the information and guidance of all concerned, to wit:

Section 1. Section 11, Article V of the Export/Import Rules and Regulations is hereby further amended to include as follows:

“Section 11. Processing Fee. –

For consignees of raw leaf tobacco for warehousing only, without undergoing any processing and/or economic activity, the processing fee shall be PhP3,500.00, per import or export commodity clearance and per tobacco type, in lieu of any other fees except for the processing fees for Authority to Export/Import as provided in Section 8 hereof.”

Section 2. Effectivity. - This Memorandum shall take effect on 01 January 2011.
