MINIMIZING REQUIREMENTS FOR METRO MANILA — PUB, PUJ AND TAXI APPLICATIONS

Due to the land transport crisis obtaining in Metro Manila, the Board feels that there is a need to further simplify and accelerate the grant of Certificates of Public Convenience for PUB, PUJ and Taxi services.

Based on the above considerations, the Board has decided to reduce the documentary requirements for the aforementioned services in Metro Manila, to the following:

1. Proof of citizenship;

2. Official receipt of payment and Certificate of Registration of the unit/units or proforma invoice;

3. Sketch of garage;

4. Passenger Insurance Coverage in the amount of P40,000 per passenger.

Publication in the newspaper shall be shortened from ten (10) to five (5) days before the scheduled date of hearing which will be sufficient proof of the compliance of the Board's jurisdictional requirement.

This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately and any previous Memorandum Circular inconsistent therewith is hereby repealed.
