AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED MILLION PESOS (PHP. 500,000,000.00), FROM NEW REVENUE SOURCES GENERATED IN THE GENERAL FUND, DULY CERTIFIED BY THE CITY TREASURER AND THE CITY ACCOUNTANT, AS GENERAL FUND SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET NO. 1, TO BE MADE AVAILABLE AS ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF MANILA FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2016

Be it ordained by the City Council of Manila, in session assembled, THAT:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the General Fund sourced from new revenue sources, which is not otherwise appropriated, the sum of Five Hundred Million Pesos (PhP. 500,000,000.00), as General Fund Supplemental Budget No. 1, and which budget documents, marked as Annex "A" , for Statement of Funding Sources (LBP From No. 9), and Annex "B" , for Statement of Supplemental Appropriation (LBO Form No. 10), are attached and made integral parts hereof, to be made available as additional appropriations of the City Government of Manila for Calendar Year 2016.

The herein appropriation of funds represents the authorized supplemental budgetary support as summarized herein below for the following programs:

Implementation of Local Budget Circular No. 108, Series of 2016, of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) embodying the First Tranche Monthly Salary Adjustment for Local Government Employees;

Payment for salaries, wages, fees and other remunerations of the casual employees (789) and consultants/researchers (408) in connection with the case docketed as Sese, et al. vs. Rosario, et al., Civil Case No. 12-127971 for Mandamus;

Additional Appropriation for General Services;

Additional Appropriation for Tax Refund; and

Additional provisions for Prior Years Obligation – Advertising Expenses.

SEC. 2. Effectivity Clause. – This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

This Ordinance was finally enacted by the City Council of Manila on April 14, 2016.
