[ PROCLAMATION NO. 50, September 15, 1962 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1962, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF TARLAC

WHEREAS, Francisco Makabulos was one of the outstanding Filipino generals in the revolutionary wars against Spain and the United States; and

WHEREAS, the people of Tarlac, his birthplace, desire that they be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday anniversary on September 17, 1962, with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, president of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, September 17, 1962, as a special public holiday in the province of Tarlac.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two.
