[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 452, April 05, 1991 ]

RECONSTITUTING THE NATIONAL ACTION COMMITTEE ON ANTI-HIJACKING

WHEREAS, under Executive Order No. 393, s. 1990, the Secretary of National Defense is designated as Chairman of the National Action Committee on Anti-Hijacking (NACAH);

WHEREAS, Section 87 of Republic Act No. 6975 mandates that the Department of the Interior and Local Government “shall absorb the National Action Committee on Anti-Hijacking under the Department of National Defense, and the transfer of assets, personnel and accountabilities of this Office to the Department shall proceed in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter”;

WHEREAS, it becomes necessary to now effect a change in the Chairmanship of NACAH, i.e., to designate the Secretary of Interior and Local Government as the new NACAH Chairman and the Secretary of National Defense as Vice-Chairman of said Committee;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Section 1. Section 1 of Executive Order No. 393, s. 1990, is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 1. The National Action Committee on Anti-Hijacking constituted under Letter of Instruction No. 399, dated April 28, 1976 shall be composed of the following:

Sec. 2. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
