DECLARING WEDNESDAY, 13 SEPTEMBER 2023, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

WHEREAS, on 13 September 1986, former President Corazon C. Aquino met with the representatives of the Cordillera Bodong Administration and the Cordillera People's Liberation Army to signify the Sipat (cessation of hostilities) and to acknowledge their aspirations for Cordillera autonomy;

WHEREAS, on 13 September 2023, Wednesday, the Cordillera Administrative Region will mark the commemoration of the 37 th Sipat Anniversary;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Cordillera Administrative Region be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, , LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R,. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Wednesday, 13 September 2023, a special (non-working) day in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
