REGISTRATION OF USED IMPORTED MOTOR VEHICLES

After an extensive consultation with all concerned government offices, please be advised that the registration of used motor vehicles, including those auctioned at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Malinta and Valenzuela shall resume on 18 April 2002. The LTO Diliman District Office shall be the only district office authorized to register subject motor vehicles pursuant to the provisions of Memorandum Circular No. RTL-MC-02377 dated 07 March 2002.

Prior to registration, a Special Review Committee of the Office of the Assistant Secretary shall be created and tasked to evaluate all importation documents of subject motor vehicles to determine their completeness and authenticity before the same proceed for registration at Diliman District Office.

The inspection of subject motor vehicles for initial registration shall be conducted at the North Motor Vehicle Inspection Station (NMVIS), Central Office or the LTO, Region III Motor Vehicle Inspection Station.

All Memoranda/Orders in conflict herewith are deemed superseded.
