AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION TWENTY-ONE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE AS AMENDED Bi COMMONWEALTH ACT NUMBERED TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY.
Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:
SEC. I. Section twenty-one of the Administrative Code, as amended by Commonwealth Act Numbered Two hundred and seventy, is amended to read as follow:
"SEC. 21. Officials authorized to administer oath. - The following officers have general authority to administer oaths, to wit:
"Notaries public; justices of the peace, and auxiliary justices o f the peace; clerks of courts, the Secretary of the National Assembly; bureau directors; registers of deeds; provincial governors and lieutenant-governors; city mayors; municipal mayors; municipal district mayors; any other officer in the Philippine service whose appointment is vested in the President of the Philippines, Secretary of War, or President of the United States. A person who by authority of law shall act in the capacity of the officers mentioned above shall possess the sane power." SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its Approval.
