[ PROCLAMATION NO. 862, June 17, 2005 ]
DECLARING MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2005, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LIPA
WHEREAS, the City of Lipa was made a chartered city on June 20, 1947, by virtue of Republic Act No. 162;
WHEREAS, Monday, June 20, 2005, marks the 58th foundation anniversary of the City of Lipa;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City Lipa be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, June 20, 2005, as special (non-working) day in the City of Lipa.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done, in the City of Manila this 17th day of June in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Five.
