TO: The Commanding General
Constabulary Highway Patrol Group
The Secretary of Tourism The Secretary of Health
In view of the persistent complaints about unsanitary conditions in restaurants and other establishment catering to foreign and domestic tourists, the Constabulary Highway Patrol Group is hereby deputized to enforce, in coordination with the Department of Health and the Department of Tourism, the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 522 prescribing sanitation requirements and facilities for the convenience of the Travelling public.
The Constabulary Highway Patrol Group shall, among other things:
Conduct intensive sanitary inspection on tourist establishments and facilities along the highways;
Recommend to the Department of Health or Tourism the closure of those establishments which fail to comply with sanitation standards; and
Enforce closure orders that the Department of Health may issue against erring establishments.
All concerned shall closely coordinate to carry into effect these instructions.
Done in the City of Manila, this 29th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-five.
