AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF LOCAL OFFICIALS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CABANGLASAN, PROVINCE OF BUKIDNON, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION TWO OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED SIXTY-FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE.

Be it enacted by the Batasang Pambansa in session assembled: SECTION 1. Section two of Republic Act Numbered Sixty-four hundred and eighty-nine, entitled, "An Act Creating the Municipality of Cabanglasan in the Province of Bukidnon," is hereby amended to read as follows:

"SEC. 2. The new municipality shall acquire corporate existence upon the appointment and qualification of the first mayor and members of the Sangguniang Bayan who shall be appointed by the President (Prime Minister) of the Philippines, within sixty days after the approval of this Act."

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
