BAN ON POTASSIUM BROMATE

After consultation with Secretary of Health Dr. Felipe A. Estrella, Jr., we advise all parties concerned that BFAD maintains the deadline set for the final phase out of Potassium-Bromate as a flour treatment agent set in A.O. 25 s. 1996.

Hence, establishments found violating the ban will continue to be subjects of Cease and Desist Orders (CDO) for appropriate sanction as part of the process.
