PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 106, January 24, 1973

[ PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 106, January 24, 1973 ]

DECREEING AS FINAL AND BINDING THE DECISIONS OF THE NATIONAL HISTORICAL COMMISSION ON THE NAMING AND RENAMING OF HISTORICAL EDIFICES AND LANDMARKS

By virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution as Commander-in-Chief of all the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and pursuant to Proclamation No. 1081, dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1, dated September 22, 1972, do hereby decree as final and binding all decisions of the National Historical Commission on the naming and renaming of historical edifices and landmarks: Provided , That its decision with respect to the naming and renaming of streets and plazas shall be recommendatory.

All provisions of laws, executive orders or regulations inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

This Decree is hereby made part of the law of the land and shall take effect immediately.

Done in the City of Manila, this 24th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-three.
