IMPORTATION OF BOOKS, MAGAZINES AND PERIODICALS

In order to provide a system in the importation of books, magazines and periodicals, with the end in view of effectively monitoring the releases of these items under tentative liquidation, it is hereby directed that this office, thru the Tax Exempt Division, be furnished information on the following:

Name of Importer

Description of Shipment

Collectible VAT

For the period beginning February 1996 up to the present.

For the sake of uniformity, the attached pro-forma Memorandum * should be followed in complying with this directive.

For compliance within seven (7) days from receipt thereof.
