BPI LETTER DATED NOVEMBER 23, 2000 RE MERGER BETWEEN FEBTC AND BPI

Attached is the letter dated November 23, 2000 of Ms. Corazon S. Tumbocon, VP, Bank of the Philippine Islands, informing the Bureau of Customs that due to the merger between the Far East Bank and Trust Company and BPI, the subject FEBTC branches are no longer authorized to collect payments of customs duties and taxes. Also, the FEBTC officers mentioned therein are no longer authorized to validate/sign Import Entry Declaration (IED) and Import Entry & Internal Revenue Declaration (IEIRD) for the collection of customs duties and taxes.
