[ PROCLAMATION NO. 174, October 16, 1963 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 24 TO 30, 1963, AS SOCIAL WORKERS’ WEEK

WHEREAS, the Government is committed to the promotion of the well-being and economic advancement of the less fortunate among our people; and

WHEREAS, social workers play an important role in the implementation of the aforementioned policy of the State;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, in recognition of the unselfish and humanitarian services rendered by social workers, do hereby declare the period from November 24 to 30, 1963, as Social Workers’ Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
