[ PROCLAMATION NO. 23, April 16, 1962 ]

DECLARING APRIL 21, 1962, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, the 19th day (Holy Thursday) and the 20th day (Good Friday) of April, nineteen hundred and sixty-two, being public holidays, the 21st day (Saturday) of April, nineteen hundred and sixty-two, may be declared a special public holiday without any prejudice to the public interest;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, and there being sufficient reasons therefor, do hereby declare Saturday, April 21, 1962, as a special public holiday.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my band and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two, and of the Indenpendence of the Philippines, the sixteenth.
