CLARIFICATION ON THE EFFECTIVITY DATE OF AMENDMENT TO JOINT ORDER 1-91 DATED APRIL 24, 1995

To further clarify the effectivity date of Memorandum to All Commercial Banks and All Concerned dated April 24, 1995 on the amendment to Joint Order 1-91, please be advised that the same shall take effect 15 days after publication of the memorandum circular in a major newspaper as required by law. Henceforth, all imports of "Fresh, Frozen or Chilled Foodstuffs, Fruits and Live Animals" shipped beginning May 27, 1995 (based on Bill of Lading/Airwaybill Date) shall be subject to SGS pre-shipment inspection requirement. This circular supersedes our Circular-Letter dated May 4, 1995.
