AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR TO CAUSE THE ACQUISITION EITHER BY NEGOTIATION, EXPROPRIATION OR BY ANY OTHER LEGAL MEANS, OF THOSE CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND, WITH A TOTAL LAND AREA OF SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE SQUARE METERS AND SEVENTY SQUARE DECIMETER (724.70 SQ. M.), LOCATED AT BARANGAY 202, ZONE 18, IN THE SECOND DISTRICT OF MANILA, COVERED BY TRANSFER CERTIFICATE OF TITLE NOS. 27243, LOT 3 AND 4 AND 25202, LOT 29, REGISTERED UNDER THE NAME OF MANOTOK REALITY, INCORPORATED, IN THE REGISTRY OF DEEDS FOR THE CITY OF MANILA

Be it ordained by the City Council of Manila, in session assembled, THAT:

SECTION 1. The acquisition either by negotiation, expropriation or by any other legal means, of those certain parcels of land with a total area of Seven Hundred Twenty-Five Square Meters and Seventy Square Decimeters (725.70 Sq. M.), located at Barangay 202, Zone 18, in the Second District of Manila, registered under the name of Manotok Reality, Inc., in the Registry of Deeds for the City of Manila, is hereby authorized pursuant to Section 19 of Republic Act 7160, or otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, and the Land-for-the-Landless Program of the City of Manila to wit:.

SEC. 2. The amount or so much thereof as may be necessary to effectively carry out the provisions of this Ordinance shall be appropriated in the next annual budget of the year following the approval of this Ordinance.

SEC. 3. The aforementioned parcels of land, when acquired, shall be subdivided and resold at cost and/or payable on installment basis for a term not exceeding twenty (20) years to the qualified actual and bona fide tenants or accupants thereat.

SEC. 4. Copies of this Ordinance shall be published in newspapers of general circulation.

SEC. 5. Effectivity Clause. – This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

This Ordinance was finally enacted by the City Council of Manila on April 7, 2016.
