[ HLRB RESOLUTION NO. R-518 s. 1992, October 19, 1992 ]

AMENDING THE TOWN PLAN AND ZONING ORDINANCE REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCESS

WHEREAS, under Resolution No. R-458, Series of 1990, as amended by Resolution No. 458-A, Series of 1990, town plans and zoning ordinance are reviewed and indorsed by the Regional Development Councils (RDCs) and the Special Inter-Agency Advisory Committee (IAAC) prior to ratification by the Board;

WHEREAS, said function of the RDCs and the IAAC can be dispensed with as the same is being performed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan pursuant to Section 468 (a) (2) (vii) of R.A. No. 7160;

WHEREFORE, be it RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED that henceforth, town plans and zoning ordinances of cities and municipalities shall be subject only to review and recommendation by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan pursuant to Section 468 (a) (2) (vii) of R.A. No. 7160 prior to ratification by the Board.

RESOLVED further, as it is hereby RE-SOLVED that, the provisions of all resolutions inconsistent herewith be REPEALED as the same are hereby REPEALED.

RESOLVED further, as it is hereby RESOLVED to authorize the Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer to issue implementing guidelines therefor.
