AN ACT RETURNING THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT OF THE PROVINCE OF MAGUINDANAO FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF SULTAN KUDARAT TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAGANOY, REPEALING FOR THE PURPOSE PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NUMBERED ELEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY.
Be it enacted by the Batasang Pambansa in session assembled: SECTION 1. The seat of government of the Province of Maguindanao is hereby returned from the Municipality of Sultan Kudarat to the Municipality of Maganoy.
SEC. 2. The transfer of the seat of government of the Province of Maguindanao shall take effect upon approval by a majority of the votes cast in a plebiscite to be held in the entire Province of Maguindanao not later than December 31, 1982.
SEC. 3. The Commission on Elections shall conduct and supervise the holding of the plebiscite. The Provincial Government of Maguindanao is hereby authorized to appropriate the necessary funds to defray the expenses for such plebiscite.
SEC. 4. Presidential Decree Numbered Eleven hundred and seventy is hereby repealed.
SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
