[ SC ADMINISTRATIVE CIRCULAR NO. 64-2002, November 29, 2002 ]

IN THE MATTER OF THE USE OF COURT STATIONERIES BY RETIRED JUDGES AND COURT OFFICIALS

It has been brought to the attention of the Chief Justice that there have been instances that retired judges and court officials still use court stationeries.

The practice may confuse the public and may even lead to abuses.

Accordingly, retired judges and court officials are hereby enjoined from using (a) unused stationeries of their previous courts or (b) new stationeries with the name of their previous courts.

The Office of the Court Administrator shall see to it that this Administrative Circular, which takes effect upon its issuance, shall be immediately disseminated and faithfully complied with.

Issued this 29th day of November 2002.

(Sgd.) HILARIO G. DAVIDE, JR.

Chief Justice
