[ SRA CIRCULAR LETTER NO, 18, March 24, 1999 ]

AFFILIATION OF UNAFFILIATED SUGAR PLANTERS AND ASSOCIATIONS/COOPERATIVES

The Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) hereby directs ail unaffiliated sugar planters and sugar associations/ cooperatives to affiliate with either of the four (4) National Planters' Federations, namely: i) Confederation of Sugar Producers' Association, Inc. (CONFED), ii) National Federation of Sugarcane Planters, Inc. (NFSP) , iii) United Sugar Producers' Federation (UNIFED), and iv) Panay Federation of Sugarcane Farmers, Inc. (PANAYFED) within thirty (30) days from the date hereof.

Non-compliance with this Order shall compel SRA to withhold from concerned unaffiliated sugar planters and associations/cooperatives whatever benefits that may be derived from future importation of sugar.

This Circular Letter shall take effect immediately.
