DECLARING THURSDAY, 01 JUNE 2023, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALAPAG, PROVINCE OF NORTHERN SAMAR

WHEREAS, on 01 June 2023, Thursday, the Municipality of Palapag, Province of Northern Samar will commemorate the heroism and bravery of Agustin Sumuroy, a native of Palapag who lead the uprising against Spanish colonizers;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Palapag be given full opportunity to enhance their cultural, historical and social consciousness, and to enjoy the celebration. NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Thursday, 01 June 2023, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Palapag, Province of Northern Samar.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
