JUMBO JITNEYS

In line with the Memorandum dated September 11, 1995, of Usec Primitivo C. Cal, this Board and all its regional offices as well may now accept applications for franchises to operate Jumbo Jitneys, with minimum capacity of 32 passengers excluding the driver, which shall be denominated and registered as mini-buses, on mini-bus routes identified and declared open by the DOTC and/or on existing PUJ routes as replacements for two (2) regular PUJ's. Operation of jumbo jitneys along EDSA shall not be allowed. It is understood, however, that the supervision fees for jumbo jitneys, being classified as mini-buses, shall be assessed on a per-gross-ton basis.

This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately.
